The ocean kisses
the sun, and as her defenses
melt, the sky blushes.
Scenes like these, while beautiful, break our heart, because a mere two years ago, the waters off the coast of Florida were exponentially healthier than they are today. A person could walk up and down the beach for miles and never be bothered by the smell or putrid, brown water, but because of humanity’s exploitation of the land and lack of respect for the natural world, now stepping foot into those waters is a risk.
We must take action before it’s too late.
