If you want to see the future,
then you needn’t look too hard,
Just find the vacant, crumbling home
thought worthy to discard.
The United States of America contains enough vacant, abandoned, or otherwise empty houses to provide each homeless person in the country with seven residences, yet for some reason, the banks and money-hoarders of this nation see fit to retain those houses on the false assumption, that someday, they will be able to make a profit. Meanwhile, homelessness continues to rise, and the very same people who could fix the problem insist that we do things their way. Something feels off.
